The inaugural PodCon event took place last December, drawing podcast fans from all over to the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The event, as one would expect, featured panels, workshops, live recordings, meet-and-greets, and networking opportunities for both fans and creators alike. We were there to take it all in. It was great.
And because of the first event’s success (though its Indiegogo was never actually fully funded), PodCon is coming back for a 2.0. The event is slated to take place next Jan. 19 and 20, and co-founder Hank Green has set up another Indiegogo to help fund the event.
Perks available include tickets to the show, upgrades like priority seating and pizza parties, and a digital download of everything happening at the conference for those that can’t make it out to Seattle. The founders, which include Welcome to Night Vale’s Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor, as well as Travis and Justin McElroy, are hoping to raise $300,000 to throw the event.
A list of featured guests is already available on the PodCon website, and includes creators like Dylan Marron, Lauren Shippen, Meg Bashwiner, and Roman Mars.
Tickets to the show start at $95, and prices go up from there.
