The Curtain Falls Upon Another Year– A Social Blade Poem

by Erin Ryan on December 30, 2010

The curtain falls upon another year.

Facebook challenged privacy;

Twitter changed its looks,

And Digg, just changed.

Like Seasons, Social Networks can be sprung unto us or fall beneath us,

Depending on its social cheer.

As Social Blade invades your home every Thursday,

We were humbled to see that you were always there.

Your tweets and shares kept us working on bringing you an eventful and informative show to last

throughout the year.

One that we hope was time well spent, with an interactive social flow.

Every Thursday going Live

Excited us to inspire, to relate and entertain.

With some humor, guests and content that aboard the social train.

2010 had some triumphs collaborating with YouTube, and front page stories too.

We had much laughter and discussions that could go long past the power of an hour.

We said goodbye to some hosts, which we call friends and glad that we still get social even though their time with us had to end.

We said hello to a new friend, and made some more along the way.

Thankful for each of them,

Every single day.

Two meetings a week, four hosts and you.

Enthusing us forward to another year of social topics, debates and memories.

We cheer others who like to read/watch/use  StumbleUpon, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Tumblr, WordPress and yes,Wikipedia.

For WE are the gathering hub for you,

You, who put the social in social media.

See you in 2011.

The Social Blade Team :)

New Live Shows begin on Thursday January 6th 10pm ET/7pm PT.

In the mean time catch up on past social blade episodes on YouTube and read social media stories of this past year on the Social Blade blog.
