I often wonder how we attain fulfillment through Social Media. It’s an interesting question, and how you answer truly hinders on
which school of thought you belong to. Either you immerse yourself in Social Media for yourself. Or you immerse yourself in Social Media for others.
Personally, I belong to the former but can understand the latter. I get it when people say their value is derived from pleasing as many people as possible. But I’ve found through my short time in the Social Media Universe, when you Blog, tweet, share, digg, etc. for yourself not only do you get more out of it, but you feel more fulfilled. We shouldn’t have to worry about what others think of us, or how many followers, friends, views, page likes we have as a measurement of success. We should do it first and foremost for ourselves. Success isn’t determined by others, it’s determined by you.
Be true to your content, for it’s an extension of yourself, not of others.
