It’s time to round up your All-Star friends and have them body check this brand new way of getting social while watching sports with Sofanatics.
Sofanatics is a brand new way to enhance sports viewing while staying social online. This new way to get in the social amusement with
your game face on is via a web service, where sports fans can connect with their friends on a webcam chat, while watching sports on TV.
You may have heard of Sofanatics when it first launched on February 17th 2010 during the Vancouver Winter Olympics. First time in history that hockey fans were able to connect via video chat to cheer for their teams. Or when they re-launched during the FIFA World Cup this year and exploded with visitors from more than 130 countries sharing their fan photos, cheering for their teams, and making new sports buddies across seas and borders.
This new sporcial (sports + social) idea has even got players in on the action such as; professional Soccer Player, Aki Riihilahti who is helping fund Sofanatics along-side top-of-the-line Internet entrepreneurs.
“As a footballer and as a sports fan myself I think the greatest thing about sports is that it unifies people and whether you play it yourself or watch it, there is an urge to share the experience. That is why I thought Sofanatics is an excellent concept”, Aki Riihilahti analyses his investment. “Fans give so much for sports, so they deserve the best means to it. Sofanatics has all the potential to serve the heart of the football in a new excellent way”, adds Aki.

As you are already social savvy, you are aware how sports can take over our Social Networks. When a huge sporting event takes place our outsourced arena is Facebook and Twitter, hip checking status after status updates with our latest thoughts and up keeping of scores. A sport is already a great way to be actively social, and what better way to call a play than with your online friends from around the world.
