Remember when Saturday mornings consisted of playing the next level of Mario on Nintendo fighting over who would have to sadly play Luigi? Ah the good old days of fighting the evil King Koopa, when eating mushrooms made you bigger and reaching the highest area on the flag pole was like the feeling you had when Luke Skywalker defeated the Death Star.

Today, we may be older and Saturday mornings might be a little more stressful – but let’s face it, we yearn for Yoshi, finding secret huts and collecting coins. The wait is over!

As of today The Mario Marathon is back, and for the next few days, they invite you to travel back in time and by doing so help out a monumental charity, titled Child’s Play; a charity that provides video games, books and toys for sick kids. Three guys are willing to lose sleep, hold their pee, and yes, even play Luigi until their goal to raise over $45,000 is reached.

Donation-Bar

All of their efforts are not so they can get the best trading card to show off to all of their friends. This time around, Mario is not only going to save Princess Toadstool but with the efforts of Brian, John, and  Chris will help a lot of sick kids enjoy the same happiness that you did as a child.

You can help by 1Uping their amount, just by making a donation that you can afford.

Tune in to their Mario Marathon that has no end date in sight, it is also where you can change the life of a child by making a donation and adding a smile to their face.

The Social Blade Show had the privilege of an EXCLUSIVE pre-marathon interview with Brian and Chris, which, much like getting the yellow jumping star, you can get up to speed and find out their reasons behind the 3rd annual Mario Marathon.
