A new Twitter feature has been seen in the wild for a brief moment today.

For a few minutes, visiting certain Twitter accounts while logged in gave a glimpse of a new feature apparently being tested by Twitter right now. “Follows in Common”  appears to be self-explanatory: a list of people that both you and the profile you’re visiting are following. It is apparently similar to Mutual Friends, a feature that has been on Facebook for years.

When you click on the link, it leads to http://twitter.com/MrBabyMan/follows_in_common (which is currently disabled):

Within minutes after playing around with the new feature, it was gone. A search on Twitter for “Follow in Common” revealed that we weren’t crazy and others had witnessed it as well.

We will keep you posted as more information comes available.
